A red moon rises.

August, 413: Nicias witnesses a lunar eclipse during the last stages of the disastrous Sicilian expedition. Thinking this is an ill omen, he decides not to attack, eventually leading to the destruction of the Athenian fleet. 2424 years later, I witness a lunar eclipse the morning of my Greek history final. I can see what Nicias meant, I wish bad omens were still an acceptable reason to get out of doing things. I can’t help but feel like I’m marching to my doom.
